There’s nothing that makes us happier than seeing our gowns in the wild. Even if they’ve been trekked through sand or grassy hills, torn through by an errant stiletto, or stained with bubbly by an eccentric guest, Truvelle gowns are always a sight to behold when worn by a happy bride on their big day.
That’s why we’re so delighted that the Truvelle 2022 collection has been featured in a series of fantastic publications this year. From real weddings to important discussions on inclusivity in the bridal industry, it’s the epitome of satisfaction for us to see gowns from our OG brand included in your stories. Here are just a handful of our favourites:
How to Find the Plus-Size Wedding Dress of Your Dreams by Marielle Elizabeth in Vogue
We’re obsessed with this essay. “Along with that healthy diet of body-positive bridal (Lindy West's transcendent writing on being a fat bride is a must read) start researching size inclusive bridal lines. When you discover a designer you love, Gaby Bayona—the designer behind multiple size-inclusive bridal lines (Laudae, Aesling, [and] Truvelle)—suggests reaching out to them directly to inquire about trunk shows with larger size ranges, or for their list of bridal boutiques that stock their line in-house,” Marielle writes.
“You're not being pushy, you're not asking for too much—you are just trying to make the biggest clothing purchase of your life. You deserve all the information necessary to make the best decision.”
This! You’re entitled to all of the information that you need to comfortably and happily embark on your quest for the perfect dress. Read the feature for more great tips on finding the dress of your dreams as a plus-sized bride.
It meant so much to us to see our Annie gown worn by beautiful bride Beverly in her California wedding. From the heirloom necklace wrapped around Bev’s bouquet to the couple’s inclusion of a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and a unity ceremony featuring German beer, every aspect of this perfectly-tailored wedding reflects Bev and Jordan’s story. That Annie played such an important role in this important day is so special to us.

Truvelle’s Newest 2022 Collection Celebrates Every Body and Every Bride from Wedding Chicks
“Every couple is unique, with a love story deserving of a wedding day that matches and feels tailored and catered to — so every bride and every groom should feel the same kind of attention in the fashions they decide to wear for the most special of occasions,” write the industry pros at Wedding Chicks, and we couldn’t agree more!
This feature calls out an important aspect of our process: Truvelle is not designed to be an exclusive brand. It is designed for every body; our extended sizes are not an afterthought, they’re built into our design process from the beginning.
“[Truvelle’s] new collection doesn’t explore extended sizing and curve-conscious craftsmanship just for the sake of joining the conversation or “entering the chat” on body inclusivity. Instead, it’s a testament to just how invested Gaby [Bayona] and the rest of the Truvelle team are in championing a brand where every bride feels representation. The gowns aren’t just replicated or stretched out to ‘accommodate’ larger figures; they’re carefully adjusted to provide greater support for and comfort to brides wearing sizes beyond 16.”

8 Vancouver bridal designers for wedding dresses sure to stand out from the crowd by Allie Turner in Vancouver is Awesome
Truvelle was born and raised in Vancouver, and our studio is still located just outside the heart of this beautiful city. That’s why it warms our hearts to catch some hometown love from VIA.
We’re so excited and honoured to be included in VIA’s list of bridal designers in Vancouver that stand out from the pack. Our city is full of world-class bridal industry talent, so it means a lot to us that both Truvelle and its sister brand LAUDAE were featured in this list.
