How did you know your dress was “the one”?
Lovenote Bride Ottawa was the second wedding dress shop I visited when looking for a wedding dress. The fact that it is a Vancouver brand, which is where I grew up, felt like a good sign!
The moment I tried on the Venus dress, it felt so comfortable and perfect. The column frame, textured satin and draping felt very me. I went to one other wedding dress shop and decided that no other dress compared. I had the chance to try on the Venus dress again, this time in Vancouver, accompanied by my mom, which sealed the deal for me.
How would you describe your wedding aesthetic in a few words?
Classic, Romantic, and Mediterranean!
What moment from your wedding day felt the most magical?
We were fortunate to have perfect weather for our outdoor dinner, surrounded by palm trees and lush gardens. The sun was setting to the sound of Spanish guitars, and all of our guests and families were enveloped by the warm tones in the sky, with hundreds of twinkle lights framing all of our loved ones.
My husband and I could see all of the tables, and our guests laughing and talking the evening away. I remember thinking that it does not get much better than this particular moment.
What advice would you give yourself when you first got engaged?
Try not to stress! Everything will always fall into place.
