How did you know your dress was “the one”?
I cried about it. I honestly tried on so many dresses at so many different boutiques and had such a hard time finding anything that felt like "the one". I found a few dresses with some of the things I wanted, but nothing that blew me away. Cue my friend sending an Instagram post of Lovenote Opening in Ottawa.
I looked through and decided I have to book an appointment there. I was amazed when I walked in. The store, the dresses, everything was just so beautiful. The team there was so helpful and made me feel so comfortable. I picked out a few dresses, and then I tried on the Pandora.
From the second I put it on, I was awestruck by it. It had EVERYTHING I wanted in a dress. Pockets, sleeves, a long train, comfort! And of course, I felt absolutely beautiful in it. After my appointment, I could not stop thinking about the dress. I was thinking and looking through pictures of my other options, and when I thought about not wearing the Pandora, that is when I started to cry. That's when I booked my follow-up and got my dream dress!
How would you describe your wedding aesthetic in a few words?
Whimsical, vibrant, and romantic!
What moment from your wedding day felt the most magical?
The whole day felt magical! The weather may not have been super cooperative, but there was something about the light drizzle that made our day special. From getting ready with my family and very best friends, to the beautiful venue, the amazing food, and dancing the night away. Everything was more than we could have ever hoped for.
Our ceremony was so beautiful, but the most magical moment had to be our first look and private vows. My husband and I will treasure that moment forever, and we are so glad we decided to do private vows.
What advice would you give yourself when you first got engaged?
Don't forget to stay in the moment!
Your engagement will fly by, and before you know it, you will be standing at the altar. While the planning can be stressful, it can also be fun and a great bonding experience for you and your husband. Everything will come together as it should!
