On November 17, we welcomed our friends and family in Winnipeg to celebrate the opening of Forks Market Road’s newest resident: Lovenote Bride! We had such a lovely evening getting to know our new community and celebrating our team’s hard work.
We’re now open for business – meaning we’re armed with chic, high-quality gowns and lots of champagne. And we can’t wait to meet you.
The Lovenote story began in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood, as a flagship to house bridal gowns and accessories that were made and designed in Canada—originally called the Truvelle Flagship after our only brand at the time! Then, we expanded to Calgary as more brides started travelling to see our gowns. Now, we’re so happy to open our newest bridal salon in Winnipeg, one of Canada’s most important bridal destinations.
“I have always loved visiting Winnipeg,” says Lovenote Founder Gaby Bayona. “The bridal community here has always served as an incredible source of inspiration for me. I always knew I wanted to spend more time in Winnipeg, so opening a bridal salon here is really a dream come true for Lovenote.”
We are so excited to bring a new kind of bridal salon to Winnipeg – one that is focused on creating a platform for Canadian-made wedding dresses and accessories.
“I was really surprised to learn that before Lovenote, there weren’t any bridal salons in Winnipeg that were committed to celebrating Canadian designers,” says Gaby. “We’re proud and excited to bring a selection of Canadian wedding dresses to brides in Winnipeg.”
To start, Lovenote Winnipeg will carry four Canadian wedding brands: Truvelle, LAUDAE, Aesling, and Ofrenda Studio.
“I know that the brides shopping in Winnipeg will find something perfect for them at Lovenote,” Gaby says, “and we can’t wait to welcome them into our new salon.”
