The LAUDAE bride has always been one-of-a-kind. They’re those brides who are effortlessly, impossibly cool – they’re unexpected, opinionated, and bold. They pull no punches. They’re the life of the party. They are unapologetically themselves. And we love them for it.
That’s why LAUDAE's 2024 Collection is inspired by those which have set in motion many good stories, just like our brides: classic, timeless, sexy cocktails.
Distilled into quintessential design elements and made yours with bespoke touches like gloves and sleeves, the 2024 Collection reimagines the LAUDAE you love with the shimmery, city lights vibes you crave. It’s not for the faint of heart. But neither are you. And that’s a good thing.
The Classics
You can’t go wrong with a classic. The Manhattan and Martini gowns were named for their ease and their boldness – just like their namesakes.
These simple silhouettes are recognisable for their plunging necklines and curve-hugging fits.
Manhattan’s neckline is fixed in place with a U-shaped wire to show off your assets and keep you comfortable all night long. The straps taper to match the half-inch exposed boning at the back of the bodice, visible through unlined bling tulle. That boning cinches the waist and leads down through the hips to the fitted modern mermaid skirt, also in bling tulle and lined in off-white midori. The train measures 65” and drapes behind you as you walk – dramatic, unmistakable, intoxicating. Pair with the sparkle overskirt and sparkle gloves for added “oohs” and “aahs” on your way down the aisle.
Martini is the flirtier of the two gowns. Skinny straps blend seamlessly into the sexy, feminine cat-eye shape of the bodice which plunges into a deep, deep V, held by a V-shaped wire to keep you as secure as you are gorgeous. This shape is echoed by deep-V cutouts at the sides of the bodice, both lined with illusion mesh, and the thigh-high angular side slit in the 65” modern mermaid skirt. But Martini’s essence is its fabric: an amazing coat of shimmery, flirty pearls from head to toe. On you, one word: unforgettable.
With a Twist
Cosmo and Vesper come with little swag sleeves that set them apart from the other gowns in this collection. They’re still sexy and romantic, but they’ve got that little something different that’s perfect for brides who love to stand out from the crowd.
On Vesper, these sleeves sit off the shoulder to show off your lovely collarbones and decolletage. The bodice itself has an effortlessly elegant drape and a gentle scoop across the neckline. The bodice comes to a point on either side where the sleeves attach – and detach – meaning you can lose the sleeves and cut loose after your photos are done.
The scoop bodice is mirrored across the back of the dress, which comes down low on the back. The skirt has that same lovely drape which complements the thigh high side slit with movement and volume. Vesper is sexy and soft, alluring but never abrasive. Like her namesake: just a little bit sweet.
Cosmo, by contrast, is full of flavour. Those little sleeves, in bling tulle like the rest of the gown, sit flat against your arms, complementing the line of the deep plunge in the bodice. If you want more, you can have it: extend your bling tulle into full, voluminous sleeves finished with a cuff and buttons at the wrist. It’s almost regal – if some English princess cut loose for an evening, she’d probably wear Cosmo.
The skirt is a classic fitted modern mermaid, hugging your hips and tucking in before the knees just a little bit to give you that lovely hourglass shape. Perfection from every angle.
Keeping it Simple
For our brides that like to keep things simple, we made Amaro and Collins. Both drinks have wildly different vibes, but each makes use of just one alcoholic ingredient, so we can truly appreciate what’s right in front of us.
The same goes for these simple, elegant silhouettes.
Collins is for the boldest of us – the voluminous bolero and sleek silhouette emphasizes the natural curves of your unique body, plunging at the neckline, hugging in at the waist, and skimming the hips to the knees. In luxe crepe-backed satin and lined with off-white midori, Collins is also designed for comfort, so you can keep dancing all night long. The train extends to 65” and trails behind you for a super flattering shape through your hips and thighs as you walk. Collins is nothing more and nothing less than perfect.
And lastly, Amaro, for the purists. Always served straight up, Amaro is only about you: your shape, your hair, your smile, your dance moves. There’s nothing here to obscure what matters.
Skinny straps lead down into a simple scoop neckline which is mirrored at the back. The boning in the bodice supports the cinching waistband, creating a subtle but lovely stitched detail across the front of the bodice. The modern mermaid skirt measures 65”, and the back is finished with a line of buttons. Imagine you, wearing Amaro, sipping something expensive in the early hours of a warm Italian morning, blowing a kiss as your last guests depart after the party of the century (thanks to you). The vibes are very good.
(Psst: If you did want to dress these gowns up, the pearl blouse, ruched armbands, and pearl gloves can’t be beat.)
