How did you know your dress was “the one”?
Lovenote Bride Winnipeg was the first store I went to. I had a few dress styles in mind, but I was open to trying on anything. For me, it all came down to how I felt in the dress; if I felt good in it, I loved it.
I actually didn’t choose to try on the Angelica dress at first. The team helping me at Lovenote picked it off the rack and convinced me to give it a try. Thank goodness I trusted them, because the moment I slipped it on, I instantly fell in love! From the sheer sleeves to the buttons down the back and the way it fit my figure, everything about it felt perfect.
As someone who doesn’t usually like standing out, I instantly wanted everyone to see me in that dress. That’s how stunning it made me feel, and that’s when I knew it was the one — along with the tears from me, my mother, and my grandmother, of course! To top it off, our experience at Lovenote Bride was incredible, everyone was so lovely and it made our visit that much more special.
How would you describe your wedding aesthetic in a few words?
Timeless, romantic, and elegant.
What moment from your wedding day felt the most magical?
I can honestly say the entire day was perfect. From getting ready with the girls to the ceremony into reception, there wasn’t just one standout moment because I loved every aspect of it.
If anything, standing alongside my husband and experiencing the overwhelming amount of happiness and love was a feeling I’ll never forget and one that makes me so excited for other brides to experience too.
What advice would you give yourself when you first got engaged?
You will feel a whirlwind of emotion and want to do everything right away, but just take your time and enjoy the process. Everything will work out the way it's supposed to!
