How did you know your dress was “the one”?

I saw Gaby make a post with the beaded dress and absolutely fell in love with it. The neckline, the simplicity of the dress, yet the detail of the fabric and the slit (one of my main wedding dress requirements!) called to my soul. It was unlike anything I had seen from other bridal designers.

Unfortunately, I had another dress being tailored because I was under pressure to pick something and it was falling apart before my eyes, quite literally. I took a chance and messaged Gaby about her one-of-a-kind design. I was not expecting I would hear back, being that she is the designer of a well known wedding dress brand, but sometimes people surprise you in the best ways possible.

I couldn't believe my eyes when her reply popped up in my inbox. I explained my situation, and told her I saw myself in her dress on the wedding day of my dreams. She said she had purchased enough fabric to make only 5 of these dresses. I had to have it, and told her to please place the order.

Her team moved mountains to get me my dress on time. It arrived at my house and went through a few tailoring sessions to get the bust just right. To this day, people still talk about me in this dress. The stars aligned for me, it was truly magic.

How would you describe your wedding aesthetic in a few words?

Vibrant wildflowers meet elegance & joy on a quintessential Oregon summer day!

What moment from your wedding day felt the most magical?

Walking down the aisle was the best tunnel of love I have ever felt. All I could see at the end of this tunnel was my future husband smiling at me. I was being carried, for lack of a better word, by all of the love and support in our audience.

Leading up to this day, because of a dress error in tailoring with another dress, I was highly anxious about how I would look on my wedding day and most importantly, if I would even feel like myself!

My husband reassured me that I had to feel my most beautiful, to remember it right. He encouraged me to message Gaby about her unique design. I felt I was the best version of myself because of this choice and the efforts of the Lovenote team. Forever grateful!

What advice would you give yourself when you first got engaged?

To trust myself above all else! I know what I have wanted this day to feel and look like since I was a young girl with a dream of getting married. Everyone's family and friends will have their opinions, but only you know the vision in your heart. Bring it to life!
